Research shows that 80% of dogs and 70% of cats develop periodontal disease by the age of three, making it the most common problem affecting dogs and cats1. In most practices, the time receptionists spend with clients pre- and post- consultation offers an ideal opportunity to talk about their pet’s dental health and can make a significant impact in educating clients and raising awareness to improve dental health care.
Working closely with the British Veterinary Receptionist Association (BVRA) to support them in their role, Virbac has launched 3 webinars that cover dental care from every angle. Video 1 looks at periodontal disease, its stages, and the importance of dental health. Video 2 looks at active and passive dental homecare, the products that are available and when each should be considered. Video 3 focuses on dental communication and how to overcome common objections such as "brushing is too difficult". Each webinar has been created as a bite-size video that can be watched on-demand, whilst still providing useful content.
