Inflacam^® equine oral suspension is part of the Inflacam^® equine range which also includes meloxicam granules for horses and meloxicam injection. The range is licensed for the alleviation of inflammation and relief of pain, in both acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders.

Meloxicam is a COX‑2 preferential non‑steroidal anti‑inflammatory drug, associated with fewer negative effects on the gastrointestinal tract than phenylbutazone^1,2. In a recent peer reviewed publication, meloxicam was shown to be more efficacious at reducing pain in horses with acute synovitis than phenylbutazone³.
