GLOBAL PREVENTIVE PROFILE

A sedentary life predisposes adult cats, both entire and neutered, to excess weight.

Optimal Body Weight

The optimised energy balance (Protein: Fat:Carbohydrate) helps maintain ideal body condition.

Urinary Health

The high level of animal protein stimulates water intake, increases the volume of urine and helps stabilise the pH, for a healthy urinary system. The chitosan supplement, a digestive chelating agent for phosphorous, helps to limit the excretion of the latter in the urine for improved prevention of struvite crystal formation.

Healthy Renal Function

The high level of protein contributes to effective water turnover. The controlled phosphorus intake helps maintain a healthy renal function.

Dental Tartar Control

The pentasodium triphosphate supplement helps to limit dental plaque and tartar formation and to ensure good oral and dental health.

Skin & Coat Support

The high level of animal protein, sources of sulphur-containing amino acids, and the balance of omega-3 and omega-6 essential fatty acids contribute to the epidermal barrier function and improve the quality of sebaceous secretions to contribute to a healthy and shiny coat.

Low Glycaemic Index

The low starch content helps ensure stable blood glucose levels.

High Digestive Tolerance

The low starch content takes into consideration the low amylase digestive activity in cats. The choice of soluble and insoluble dietary fibres (prebiotic) and the lactobacillus supplement (probiotic) regulate intestinal transit and help ensure a balanced digestive flora. The bentonite supplement helps protect the digestive mucosa and contributes to the formation of well-formed, low-odour stools.
