What is Vilkay^TM?

Vikaly^TM is a high-quality clinical diet specially formulated for cats with chronic kidney disease (CKD) including medication to manage proteinuria. It is a comprehensive, ready-to-use  solution for CKD management, addressing both the cat’s nutritional and treatment needs.

Vikaly^TM is a convenient and effective all-in-one solution supported by numerous clinical studies

• Utilises a well-established drug, Benazepril
• Benazepril is a well-established treatment for reducing proteinuria through ACE inhibition.
• Wide therapeutic margin, tolerated to 20x the minimum effective dose (10mg/kg) for 52 weeks*¹¹
• Rare to very rare side effects reported^{11, 13}
• Studies confirm significant proteinuria reduction (UPCR improvement) at a daily dose of 0.5–1 mg/kg^{14, 15, 16}

Highly palatable clinical renal formulation

• Low phosphorus (0.5% as fed)

• High palatability - 88% of cats ate more than the recommended daily ration of 9 g/kg BW12

Treatment for proteinuria¹¹

Check the following table as a guide to how many days a 1.5kg Vikaly^TM bag lasts according to the cat's daily requirements in grams:

The daily ration can be administered in several smaller meals throughout the day, to accommodate the individual preferences of the cat and promote consistent food intake.

If you recommend feeding Vikaly^TM in combination with a wet food, the owner should only give wet food after the cat has consumed at least 50% of their daily Vikaly^TM ration
